EXCELLENTVerified Fantastic meal at The Pizza Yard! Went to The Pizza Yard for the first time last night. This is truly some of the best, if not the best, pizza I have ever had. Arancini balls were delcious and it was clear everything was made fresh on-site. Staff are attentive, warm and friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The owner (who was also cooking) took time to speak to all of his guests and check on the quality of their meals. Ended up choosing the familigia option which just delivered courses of delicious food, meatballs, garlic mushrooms, arancini, creamy tomato n’duja pasta and wrapped up with pizza, the menu did mention fries and dips which we didn’t get however the food was that good it wasn’t missed. My only feedback would be warm plates as this makes all the difference, especially as the restaurant was a little cool with the door close by and people entering/leaving.Posted onVerified Fantastic Food What an absolute gem of a restaurant! We went for Brunch and the quality of the food was exceptional. The nicest Arancini I have had since I visited Sicily a couple of years ago. The staff are really friendly and attentive and the drinks were flowing as quickly as we could drink them. The dough balls were the best we have had… anywhere. Pizzas were all lovely too and my 12 year old gave it a 10 out of 10 and he’s a v harsh critic. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good music too. I have dined at the Pizza yard various times over the last few months and thought it time I finally gave it the review it deserves. The Pizza Yard is an unassuming gem with some of the best food and service in the area. Ben and his team really look after you as soon as you step in the door and welcome you like a friend. We have enjoyed a wine tasting night there which was lots of fun and also very informative, they really didn't scrimp on the wine or food. Recently my partner turned 30 and I booked a very last minute table for 10. Ben actually opened slightly earlier to accommodate us which was hugely appreciated and we really enjoyed the food that was served as part of the family style banquet. We thought we would be having pizza, but it's different on Sundays, a taste sensation of everything. Arancini, Garlic mushrooms on focaccia, Prawns, Garlic doughballs, Steak, a full-sized pizza, half & half toppings and salt & Rosemary chips. This is where we tapped out and brought supper home. We had a fantastic chat with the owner, where we discovered that we all love food lol. The 2 young people who served us were so friendly, it really is a great place. They even supply games for the kids. It was also popular with people coming for pizza to take away (this will be us very soon). I can honestly say that we will be back to sit in and take away.
